I have currently had published a small research study looking at ODP students' experience of their first clinical placement.

Biography:

Teresa qualified as general nurse in 1981 and started her career as a theatre nurse working in surgery at Booth Hall Children’s Hospital. In 1990 she qualified as a Registered Sick Children’s Nurse and in 1998 studied for her surgical and anaesthetic qualification. In 1999 she transferred to Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital working mainly in anaesthetics. In 2003 she joined Edge Hill University as a Senior Lecturer for pre-registration Operating Department Practice (ODP) programmes and CPD perioperative modules. In 2015 Teresa completed her Surgical First Assistant (SFA) training and became module leader for the SFA module at Edge Hill University.
