Biography:
David has been an Associate Lecturer in Film Studies at Edge Hill University since 2005 and his specialisms include contemporary psychoanalytic film theory, the post-classical horror film, and film music.
Previous to joining Edge Hill in 2005, David gained a first-class BA Hons in Film & Media Studies at the University of Central Lancashire in 2002, before going on to complete a Masters in Screen Studies at Manchester University in 2003. David returned to the University of Central Lancashire in late-2003, with a full AHRC-awarded doctoral grant to complete a PhD on comtemporary psychoanalytical film theory and film music in the post-classical Horror film, which was awarded in 2009.
