Biography:
After completing a BSc (Hons) Microbiology degree at Leeds University in 1984, I was employed as a Research Associate for GlaxoSmithKline Pharmaceuticals in Middlesex and the Cancer Epidemiology Research Unit at Birmingham University, where I worked on large community-based health research projects, gaining an MSc in Social Medicine in 1992. After taking a career break with my 3 children, I became interested in developmental psychology and completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Psychological Studies in 2001 and a PhD in 2004 (dissertation title: “An Evaluation of the Cerebellar Deficit Hypothesis of Developmental Dyslexia”).
