Biography:
Jeremy is an experienced education researcher, specifically in the area of postgraduate medical education. His main interests are in transitions in medical careers (editorial published in the BMJ), educational supervision and work based assessment. In 2015, Jeremy was awarded the ‘Excellent Medical Education’ prize in the Postgraduate Category awarded by the Association for the Study of Medical Education and the General Medical Council. This funding award relates to the current ‘investigation into Specialty Trainee engagement with e-learning in Health Education North West’. He has published over 30 peer reviewed papers and presented (or co-authored) over 50 papers nationally and internationally. Jeremy’s post is half funded by Health Education North West to manage an established postgraduate medical and dental education programme. This includes acting as Principal Investigator on a number of medical education studies. He leads a Masters Research module and supervises PhD students and junior doctors who are undertaking medical education related projects. He is Deputy Chair of the Association for the Study of Medical Education Research Committee.
