Biography:
I have worked in academia since 1983 after completing my PhD at the University of Oregon under the mentorship of Professor Marjorie Woollacott.
My first lecturing post was at the University of Tasmanian in Launceston where I taught Exercise Physiology. I was also research active and started my work in acid base balance and performance - a line of work which has continued for almost 30 years.
My CV indicates that I am eclectic in my research approach and I have work in avriety of areas but in the main they are performance related which links back to my own sporting career and my original training as a physical educator.
recent work has moved into the area of Heat Shock Proteins (HSP) and exercise.
