Biography:
An Associate Tutor in the Department of Computing, Howard is currently studying towards his PGCTHE qualification while completing his MRes dissertation entitled “Why is the web not accessible and what are the motivators of improved web accessibility?” Current projects include being originator and lead author of a new undergraduate 20 credit Web Accessibility & Digital Inclusion module being developed in conjunction with the Royal National Institute of Blind People.
Industry interests revolve around web accessibility and digital inclusion with Howard currently sitting on the British Standards Institution ICT/00-/06 - ICT Accessibility Co-ordination Committee and on the committee of the 2016 British Computer Society Conference “Digital Accessibility in Higher & Further Education”.
