Upon completion of my PhD I was employed as a postdoctoral researcher on a Principal’s Teaching Award Scheme (PTAS), where I worked with Dr Alette Willis and Siobhan Canavan on a project evaluating a Personal Tutors/Professional Mentors support provision for counselling trainees. My passion for the Internationalisation of Higher Education led me to get involved in an Edinburgh University Student Association/Institute for Academic Development initiative, the ‘Third Space’, a pilot programme promoting students’ intercultural engagement and self-reflexivity. In September 2014, I became a Lecturer in Counselling and Psychotherapy at Edge Hill University and an Honorary Fellow at the University of Edinburgh.
