Biography:

I think of myself as a bit of a maverick – an interdisciplinary scholar with a background in women’s studies, medical physics, sociology, and person-centred expressive art, as well as being a Chartered Biologist on the side (!). My journey to Edge Hill has included working in the NHS, the Third Sector, and Lancaster University – doing different things each time. My journey to becoming a counsellor was a bit unusual, but I feel privileged to have trained with Dinah Brown – a pupil of Natalie Rogers. Natalie’s work, and that of her father Carl Rogers, inspires me to be the best help I can to my students on their academic and experiential journey, and to ‘be the difference you want to see in the world’
