Biography:

Richard completed his undergraduate degree in Sport and Exercise Science (Applied Sport Science) (BSc Hons) at Edge Hill University [2009-2012]. He was then appointed as a Graduate Teaching Assistant and full-time PhD candidate in September 2012. Richard submitted his PhD thesis in July 2015 and successfully defended his thesis in September of the same year. The primary focus of Richard's thesis was fixture congestion and mechanisms of knee flexor injuries in soccer. Richard started his current role at Edge Hill University in 2015 and currently teaches on the Sport and Exercise Science degree programme.
