Biography:

I took up post as Reader in Exercise Physiology in the Department of Sport and Physical Activity on the 1st October 2012 and was promoted to Professor in August 2013. I have a PhD in Exercise Physiology, a BSc in Sports Science and Biology, and a Post Graduate Certificate in Higher Education (PGCHE). I am a fellow of the Higher Education Authority and a trained Peer Assisted Study Sessions (PASS) supervisor and PASS leader trainer. I also have many vocational health and fitness qualifications, includiding diplomas in personal training and exercise referral, and specialist qualifications to work with cancer survivors, cardiac patients, individuals with obesity and diabetes, low back pain, pregnant and postnatal women, older adults, and those requiring assessment and exercise prescriptmore...
