Biography:

Joanne completed her undergraduate degree in Physical Education (PE), Sport and Dance with QTS (2001-2005)at Liverpool John Moore’s University. Joanne then worked as a Teacher of PE at Parklands High School in Chorley. This role was extended to Head of Girls PE and then to acting Head of PE, prior to employment at Edge Hill University in 2010. Joanne is currently a Senior lecturer on the PE and School Sport undergraduate degree programme. Joanne is currently in her 2nd year of part-time PhD at Loughborough University under the supervision of Dr M J Waring. The focus of the research is on the use of new technology to enhance pedagogical approaches to teaching curriculum gymnastics.
