Biography:

I have worked in Perioperative care since starting my clinical training in 1979 and qualifying in 1981. I worked in emergency and acute Operating Theatres across a broad range of surgical specialities as an Operating Department Practitioner (ODP)and a Senior ODP until 2002 when I became Operating Department Training Co-ordinator.I took up post at Edge Hill University in the Faculty of Health and Social Care in 2006. I have worked in Higher Education for the past nine years and my areas of teaching interest are Day Surgery Care Care, Anaesthesia and Recovery Care and Research. My Research interests are Bullying in the work place, and the Development of Professional identity.
