Dave is the programme lead for the MSc Advanced Practice. Qualified in 1982 he has extensive clinical experience in urological, surgical and adult general intensive care nursing. Prior to joining Edge Hill Dave was a senior nurse within the Nursing and Quality Directorate of a large acute Trust. His responsibilities included policy and guideline development, developing medical education curricula for Mersey Deanery and supporting skill development for clinical staff from all disciplines within the Trust. Dave is a member of the North West Advanced Practitioner Education Collaborative and the Cheshire and Mersey Workforce Modernisation and Planning Network. He is an external examiner for University of Liverpool Medical School and chair of the Faculty of Health OSCE Review Panel. His current interests include research, advanced practice for paramedics, mentorship and all aspects of clinical diagnostics.
