Biography:

I initially went from school to study philosophy at University College North Wales in Bangor. I trained to be a nurse in 1979. I joined the Sefton School of Health Studies in 1990 teaching an intensive care and coronary care course. Now I organise modules for (mostly) qualified nurses who wish to specialise. Some of these modules are traditional and face to face. Increasingly they are on line. I run distance learning modules on line for students who study from abroad. My clinical background was in intensive care nursing
