Biography:

I have worked for over 15 years as a practicing Sports Therapist. Before undertaking my current role as a senior lecturer at Edge Hill University I worked at another Higher Education establishment for one year as a lecturer in Sports Therapy. During my clinical career I spent 5 years in Scottish Rugby Union as a Sports Therapist with Ayr Rugby Club. This role involved the treatment, prevention and rehabilitation of sports injuries in addition to first aid provision and match day duties such as sports massage and taping/strapping. Furthermore, I have also worked with sporting individuals from ice hockey, cricket, judo, Irish dancing, golf and football.
