Biography:

Anthony joined Edge Hill University in 2017 as a Senior Lecturer before being promoted to Reader in Physical Education and Children's Physical Activity. Previously, he was Senior Lecturer and Course Leader for Physical Education at Leeds Beckett University. He has also held the positions of Lecturer in Sport Studies at University of Central Lancashire, and Associate Lecturer in Sport Studies at Edge Hill University. Anthony's research and teaching interests relate mainly to diversity, equity and inclusion in physical education; teacher education; special education; and disability sport. Much of Anthony's research draws on British disability studies and sociological theory, especially the work of Antonio Gramsci.
