Biography:

Ben completed his undergraduate degree in Sport and Exercise Science at Coventry University [2006-2009], before spending two years coaching youth soccer in the USA. Upon returning to the UK Ben completed his MSc in Sports Biomechanics at Loughborough University [2012], from there he moved to the University of East London to undertake his PhD, in collaboration with ASICS. Ben successfully defended his PhD thesis which explores the influence of running shoes upon running kinematics and helps to further develop means of modelling the motion of the foot within the shoe in 2015. Ben joined Edge Hill University in 2015 and currently teaches on the Sport and Exercise Science degree programme.
